This is our self-released debut EP. It showcases the variety in our sound, from the bouncy pop of “Part the Sea” and “Scene of the Crime” to more rock-oriented songs like “Price of Good Advice” and the noisy “Monuments.” The cd was recorded and mixed by Kevin Ennis at the Milkhouse, with mastering by Matt Azevedo at M-Works.

Reviews:

"Speaking of indie pop: Boston’s still relatively brand spanking new quintet the Sneaks play some of the indiest pop I’ve ever heard, and I’m not even sure what that means. It has something to do with cuteness levels, but the Sneaks never let those levels reach hazardous, favoring noise and volume instead. Where most indie pop is catchy like a cold, this is catchy like a grappling hook." - Michael Brodeur, Boston Phoenix

"Don’t let their cool, sunny, hip façade suck you in.  These people are evil and drink the blood of babies while feasting on the intestines of unicorns and defecating on the homeless.  Clever hooks, cute harmonies or handclaps no matter how awesome will never disguise their rampage of the damned.  Every time they clap their hands on this recording, God kills a bunny and a lot of bunnies were obviously maimed and mutilated to make this for mass consumption and commercial gain.  I am certainly convinced beyond a shadow of any doubt that the bonus track was the only song actually played by them.  The rest were extras in a Prell commercial, I swear.  Everyone should own this record." - Joel Simches, The Noise

"Don't you just love to skip? I do. I like to skip, I like the Brady Bunch, holding hands, unicorns, smiles, bubble gum, rough-mind-altering sex and pretty flowers. All of these things go great with listening to the albumIn An Instant by The Sneaks. All of them go with the music except one, unicorns; fucking stupid unicorns. I bet The Sneaks hate unicorns.I like the way all the songs roll along. They constantly are pushing forward. Solo's are kept brief, harmonies kept clean, guitar tone kept simple, and the drums are hit correctly. Wait, what... did I just say drums are hit cor.. what do I mean. Is that like telling a band "You look like you are having fun"(I.E. you suck). NO not at all. The drummer does exactly what he should be doing. Is he there, serving you the song on a golden platter of beats. (What the hell am I talking about?) Weezer. I'll say it. They sound like Weezer; and thats a good thing. (I bet Weezer hates unicorns too.)" - Boston Music Reviews
